I’m A Crier
what is the cost of a dream?
Live Performance
Kaleigh is a performer who has spent her whole life doing everything right: training, grinding, auditioning, and sacrificing everything – all for a dream that never quite delivers. Now, stuck in a cycle of rejections and emotional burnout, she is forced to confront the question she’s never asked: who am I without performing?
A theatrical memoir sharing real life stories, charming comedy, and knock out musical performances, “I’m A Crier” is an entertaining journey of chasing success until it breaks your heart, and what it means to rebuild your identity when the thing you thought would complete you… doesn’t.

Kaleigh Murphy
Creator, Performer, Producer
Kaleigh Murphy (she/they) has always found a home in performing, from when she was three years old and she made her grand debut as Flower #8 in her first ballet recital. Now a powerhouse triple-threat with a stellar comedic flair, Kaleigh aims to bring joy, honesty, and some good old sweat to every role she takes on. Her magnetic presence on stage and screen makes her stand out from the crowd and draws the audience into each story she tells.
Hailing from Waterloo, ON, Kaleigh attended Eastwood Collegiate for their Integrated Arts Program. They later trained at Sheridan College in the Bachelor of Music Theatre Performance program, graduating in 2021.
Fearless when facing new challenges, Kaleigh has entered multiple new facets of the industry since graduating. In 2023 they starred in their first Theatre for Young Audiences show as the titular role in Pinkalicious: The Musical. They started working on camera and took on leading roles as Nora in “What I Did For Love” and Young Liz in “If You’re Listening, Here It Is”, both produced by Unwrap Theatre. Also with Unwrap Theatre, they choreographed, directed, and starred in their first short dance film, “Collide”.
Recently, Kaleigh rocked out in “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” at Stage West Calgary, and she will be heading back there this winter to live out her true calling of being a nun in their production of “Sister Act”.
A driven and passionate artist, Kaleigh intends to walk through this industry with kindness and respect, all while being able to create and take part in impactful and high-quality art.
