“My natural hair journey has been complicated, funny and eye-opening. But I am thankful that I learn more about her (my hair) everyday. I embrace my hair that doesn’t fall but chooses to rise. I embrace that some days she and I won’t be on the same page. I embrace that some days she doesn’t feel like staying put. Some days I won’t get her just right. And in turn she does her best. And for the days where neither of us have it – well, thank goodness I have wigs. This is my ode to Black hair.”
